Tecno Camon Slim 5G Launches With Massive 6,000mAh Battery in Ultra-Thin Body

Tecno's Camon Slim 5G squeezes a 6,000mAh battery into a body just 6.39mm thick, and it starts at ₱24,999 in the Philippines. It also carries an IP69K rating, a 144Hz AMOLED screen, and a 50MP Sony main camera.

Thin phones usually ask you to give something up. Tecno is betting you won't have to.

Slim Outside, Big Battery Inside

Most ultra-slim phones shrink the battery to hit a number on the spec sheet. The Camon Slim 5G keeps a 6,000mAh cell and pairs it with 45W wired charging.

The design borrows what Tecno calls a "swan-neck curve" from its flagship Camon 50 line. The result is a phone that looks like a fashion accessory and still fits a full day of use.

Tough Enough for Rain, Dust, and Drops in the Sink

The phone is rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, which covers dust, submersion, and high-pressure hot water jets. It also carries MIL-STD-810H certification.

Those are ratings you usually see on pricier flagships. On a phone this thin, they are the real surprise.

A Screen and Camera Built for Scrolling and Shooting

The 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display refreshes at up to 144Hz and has TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification. The 2160Hz PWM dimming is meant to ease eye strain during late-night scrolling.

The main camera is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and optical image stabilization. It is joined by an 8MP ultrawide and a 32MP selfie camera.

Launched on a Runway, Not a Spec Sheet

Tecno introduced the phone on October 1 at "Make It Lighter: The Living Cover Runway." Fifteen Filipino women, including entrepreneurs, working mothers, and celebrities such as Megan Young and Aubrey Miles, walked in looks inspired by modern Filipiniana.

The styling centered on Burgundy Red, the phone's hero color. It signals who Tecno is aiming at: buyers who want a phone that looks good and survives a hectic day.

Who Should Consider It

If battery life and durability matter more to you than raw benchmark scores, this one deserves a look. The Dimensity 7300e is a capable mid-range chip, not a gaming powerhouse.
